The Orphanages

There are Seven Orphanages located throughout Bali. In those seven caring, nurturing homes children from desperately poor circumstances are nurtured and grown into fine, self-sufficient members of the Balinese society.

Widhya Asih Orphanage I

Located in Denpasar, the capital of Bali and its largest city. This orphanage, established in 1975, was the first in the Widhya Asih System. Orphanage I houses approximately 40 children.  Important needs at this location include:

  • Build guesthouses and additional staff rooms ($34,500)
  • Purchase three new bunk beds, including mattresses, bedding, and closets ($935)
  • Renovate the girls bathrooms ($3,000)
  • Build a new kitchen with good hygiene ($15,000)
  • Upgrade computer equipment for staff and students ($3,400)
